cycling in Delta

Grab your bike and go! Delta boasts a variety of bike on and off-road routes through parks, along beaches, well-marked bicycle lanes on main roads and a network of winding country back-roads,  including through Watershed Park and along the Millenium Trail. Detailed maps of Delta bike routes can be found on the City of Delta's website.

Delta also hosts the annual Tour de Delta, a three-day event in July which includes participants from around the world competing in 2 seperate criterium loops and the grueling Delta UCI 1.2 Road Race. Fans can take part by spectating at various points in Ladner, Tsawwassen and North Delta, or can participate in community festivals or kids races. More information can be found on the Tour De Delta Webstie.

More relaxed bicyclists looking for an event to participate in can join the annual Southlands Bike-In & BBQ, where all are welcome to take part in guided tours through the Southlands and Earthwise Gardens, kids activities, live music, tractor rides, displays by local artists, and food trucks. Walkers and joggers are also welcome to join in the fun, look for event info on our events calendar.

We want to ensure that everyone is cycling as safely as possible – our local HUB committee invite you to check out these Bike Smart Resources before you head out, including safety tips on cycling with kids, using separated bike lanes, and being as visible as possible.
